What best way to celebrate this festival of lights than with fun games for your children? Here are a couple of entertaining Chanukah party games to make your Chanukah party a wonderful occasion.

Musical Chanukah Party Game This is a musical party game in which one person is selected and sent out of the room. The rest of the players then agree upon a simple task for the person to do. This could be anything – moving a chair, touching a thing, or finding some hidden object. After the task is decided by all the remaining players, the main player is told to enter the room. This Chanukah party game is accompanied by music played on the piano. The music starts as soon as the person enters the room. The player tries to seek out the object that has to be found. The music is the hint for this Chanukah party game. When it is soft, it means the player is very close to the object, when it gets louder, the player is going away from it. The music stops when the object has been found.

Chanukah Buzzing Bee Party Game This game is an all-time favorite and adds so much fun to your Chanukah Party. The buzzing bee party game can have any number of players; the more, the better. The children sit in a circle and begin to count numbers in turn. When the players reach the number 7, or a multiple of 7 or a number that has a 7 in it, they should say “Buzz” instead of saying the number. For instance, when the players have counted up to 12, the next player will say “13”, and then the next player should say “buzz”, 14 being a multiple of 7. The next number to say “buzz” will be 17 as 7 occurs in it. When a player forgets to say “buzz” and instead says the number, he is out. The game then continues, with the remaining players starting to count again, till the last player is left. In the rare case where the number reaches 70, which is another “buzz”, the numbers that follow after 70 should be called buzz 1, buzz 2, etc. up to 79.
