Muslims and ViolenceDue to the terrorist attacks on the U.S. and Europe during the last years, the vast majority of the West’s population has come to associate terrorism with Muslims. Western governments say such a view is false and have even engaged in a large propaganda campaign to inform the masses of the correct one. However, an analysis of history reveals something different. The Koran was written in the early seventh century by the followers of Mohammed, who meticulously annotated the words of the prophet. Although Mohammed saw Christianity and Judaism as predecessors of Islam, the fact is that since its creation Islam has preached violence. According to many theologians, about 5% of the Koran advocates peace and the rest is a call to arms. Islam means literally, submission. The Koran is replete with calls to take up arms in its name: "fight and slay the Pagans wherever you find them . . . those who reject our signs we shall soon cast into the fire . . . Western governments claim the terrorists are un-Islamic bandits who have hijacked a great religion. That is not true. Those terrorists are doing the same thing Mohammed did to impose his religion on the Arabian Peninsula in the seventh century. They are wielding the sword. Mohammed was a military commander during the last part of his life and only by force did he manage to convince his fellow Arabs of the superiority of his new creed. The terrorists of the twenty-first century are also doing what the followers of Mohammed did during the millennium after his death. The Umayyads, the Abbasids, and the successive dynasties launched into one of the most enthusiastic conquering ventures the world has ever seen and forged an empire that extended from Central Asia to the southwest of Europe. From the founder of the religion to the Ottomans in the twentieth century, violence was systemically used to convert nations to Islam. That is precisely the reason why the overwhelming majority of Muslims worldwide applaud the acts of the terrorists. That is why those murderers have become martyrs and heroes for the Muslim masses. Since those masses have been taught the gospel of the Koran and that book teaches violence, they are inevitably driven to feel admiration for those who kill the infidels. Islam resembles to a great extent communism because the Marxists claimed from the start, that communism was the dictatorship of the proletariat. They never pretended that their beliefs would be imposed by peaceful means.
